Exploring the Intersection of Art, Architecture, and Light in a Show Home Design

Shu Hui Lee's design inspiration for 'Purity, Spaces of Lights' came from simple geometric forms such as vertical and parallel lines, squares, diamonds, and various round shapes. The designer's use of the purest color interpretations in individual spaces creates a sense of order, peace, and luxury, resulting in a fashionable atmosphere that tenderly infuses aesthetics into daily life.

The design's unique properties lie in its organic, artistic, and aesthetic features. The designers have used warm, agile shading and textures to create an elegant atmosphere and a sense of fun from the interplay of lights and shadows. The magic of light makes the walls' ups and downs appear with even more rhythm.

The realization of this design involved various stone products, including granite, marble, and petrifaction. The color system includes painting, coating wall cloth, and wallpaper. The space, covering an area of 300 square meters, was designed with a unique self-style in mind. The grand porch and floor part create a unique atmosphere, with lighting affecting each space. The living room extends the entire light to the entrance, and the partition between the study and the study room extends the space without affecting the study's independent use.

The project started in April 2018 in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, and finished in August 2018. The design research was centered around the positive energy that a house full of purity and light brings to people. The designers found relevant materials and understood the impact between colors, materials, and body and mind. The design challenge was to create magic colorful grading using only simple colors. The designers managed to extend natural energy into every corner of the spaces and brighten everyday life.

The design was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019. The Silver A' Design Award is rewarded to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. These designs, admired for their strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcase a remarkable level of excellence and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
